We had great teamwork going and this was a great and fun experience!. I thought I was pretty fit, but I'm definitely a bit out of shape as I almost couldn't get out of bed the next couple of days after the tournament….Just getting out of my car was a challenge, I still feel it in my legs. If I'm invited to play for Zatans FC again, I will do it for sure! :-)With or without me, Örebro United will shiver in 2014, there shall be revenge!

========================================================================== Jorn plays heavy metal soccer for Sweden!Jorn Lande, representing the county of Skåne, Sweden, in the heavy metal soccer tournament of the year called metallsvenskan, in Örebro. Jorn plays for Zatan FC, defending their champion title from last year. Results will be posted later. ========================================================================== Jorn is appointed "Prince of the Sun"On the sunny day of april 7th 2013 Jorn Lande was officially appointed “Prince of the Sun” by the mayor of his city of birth, Rjukan, in Telemark, Norway. The Prince and his entourage arrived at the town square stage after being part of a long royal style cortege through the streets of Rjukan.
The ceremony was held in front of several thousand people at the town square.
"The rock world already has it's "Prince of darkness", now it also has a "Prince of the Sun"" - the newly appointed prince Jorn proclaimed in his speech to the people.The city of Rjukan is famous for this annual celebration every spring, marking the day the sun returns – meaning that it is high enough on the sky to reach Rjukan and its residents in the deep valley.
From october to march every year the valley is in shadows. All the people of Rjukan take to the streets and dress up in fantastic costumes to celebrate the sun’s return.
The first «Solfest» - sun carneval - was held in 1925 and has since been an important cultural event.
And every “Solfest” they appoint a Prince of the sun – who has to be a person from Rjukan that has contributed to promoting and benefiting the town and the area.Rjukans history is quite impressive and of huge interest world wide, as it was here the worlds largest power plant was built by Norsk Hydro in the early 19th century.
Rjukan was a significant industrial center producing Salpetre (fertilizer) and later hydrogen, which again resulted in the product known as heavy water (deuterium oxide).
During World War II the production of heavy water was of huge interest to Hitler and his nuclear program, since heavy water could be used to produce nuclear weapons. The norwegian resistance, in collaboration with the allies, decided to sabotage the heavy water supply and destroy the heavy water plant, to stop the nazi development of nuclear weapons.
High risk raids were aimed at the 60-MW Vemork Power Station by the Rjukan water fall while it was in german hands.
After the war, Hollywood and Columbia Pictures looked to Rjukan and the spectacular war efforts of the local saboteurs, and in 1965 the film "Heroes of Telemark" was made, starring legendary actors Kirk Douglas and Richard Harris.
The film, about the heavy water sabotage, was among the 15 most popular films at the british box office in 1966.

========================================================================== Jorn "symphonic" to be released in January.- A special album will be released January 25th in Europe, and January 22nd in North America"It was a spontaneous idea that is now put to life, as I thought it would be interesting to hear how some selected Jorn recordings would sound with a classical orchestral arrangement.The classical arrangements were added to the already existing studio versions, but some songs were remixed to give more room for the orchestra. I didn't want to choose the most obvious Jorn songs, as I didn't want this album to come out as a typical "best of" release.It ended up being a track list with variety, with some songs that are not too typical in a Jorn context, chosen simply because some great songs often tend to be forgotten and therefore deserve a second chance. Some of them are featured closer to the end of the albums they belong to, or have previously been used as bonus tracks, and as the years fly by people seem to remember only the title tracks, singles or official music videos. I personally feel that some tracks were improved by adding the orchestra, just check out "I came to rock", "The world I see" and “Burn your flame”, they really came out fresh and different, compared to the original versions."I hope you will enjoy the album and maybe you will even rediscover some songs you had forgotten… I wish everyone a Spectacular New Year!Jorn Lande

========================================================================== Jon Lord has passed away
I am deeply sorry to hear that once again cancer has taken a great man and musician away from us.
I've had the great pleasure of working with Jon Lord, and during the time we spent together he showed himself as a true gentleman, and a focused and dedicated musician.
He was an understanding and kind person to be around.
I have one treasured memory from when we did some interviews together; a journalist asked Jon if he thought it was very obvious that Jorn Lande had been influenced by 70's era singers,
and Jon Lord’s earlier fellow musicians. Jon’s answer was: “ influenced maybe, but Jorn has developed his own uniqe sound and singing technique".
To hear this coming from Jon, one of my heroes in music, was a great recognition and it made me very proud and humble.
I'm not used to doing church concerts with a huge orchestra, as I did with Jon Lord in 2007, so I was feeling quite nervous about the gig, but Jon was very understanding and comforting and he made me feel at ease.
The concert at the “Nidarosdomen” cathedral in Trondheim, Norway, was sold out and a huge success, and it was a wonderful experience to participate.
I will forever remember and cherish the lunches, the walks, and the rehearsals, together with the greatest maestro of them all!
My thoughts go to his family and friends in their sorrow.
Jon, you will forever be pictured within.

NEW ALBUM 2012
The new Jorn album "Bring Heavy Rock To The Land" is scheduled to be released June1st in Europe and June 5th in North America.
The new album follows a similar Jorn-tradition like those before, more Heavy Rock oriented than Metal. As usual it's not just one musical expression all the way through the album, but a variety of musical landscapes within the categories of Rock and Metal.The majority of the album was recorded at Monnow Valley studio, in Rockfield, Wales, and as usual we mixed at Jailhouse studios in Denmark (yet another old tradition in the Jorn history:).
We have just finished the filming of a music video for the title track "Bring Heavy Rock To The Land" which was done at "Kongsten Fort", an old historic fort in Fredrikstad, Norway, dating back to the 16th century.The weather gods were helpful, so we avoided rain and pulled it off in one day and half a night, and we wish to thank Fredrikstad Museum for their kindness and use of the location.The Title Track "Bring Heavy Rock To The Land" will be released as a single world wide on May 14th, but can be listened to exclusively on the Frontiers records webradio www.frontiers.it/webradio 
| ==========================================================================In memory of Mika Ahola 1974 - 2012Our dear friend has passed away.
Five time enduro world champion Mika Ahola died january 15th from internal injuries, a few weeks after crashing while training in Girona, Spain.
Mika was a true lover of rock and as he went through several surgeries and fought for his life, he listened to our music and found strenght. Unfortunately it couldn't heal his injuries, but it makes us all extremely humble and grateful, and it is a reminder that what we do in this life makes a difference.Mika chose to live life on the edge by pursuing a carrier in enduro racing, but he followed his heart and his dream, and it made him the great champion that he was. Most people in this world regret not to have done so when they get old and reflect on what could have been. Mikas life ran too short and his fire burned fast, but he was an inspiration to so many who recognized his talent and spirit. His racing skills came from years of hard work and training and our thoughts go to his wife Marika who stood by him all these years and sacrificed everything to be with the man she loved.Mika, we miss you, and we feel proud and lucky to be able to call you our friend.JORN

Jorn will be present at Hardrocksmessän in Malmö on the 2nd and 3rd of October.
There will be various exhibitions and stands, a huge variety of clothes and hard rock/ heavy metal related items/merchandise for sale, tattoo&barber shop plus more...
Other artists already confirmed for this event are Gilby Clarke (ex Guns'n Roses) and Sebastian Bach (Skid Row).
There will be signing sessions on both days and the artists will also be available for photos.
http://www.rockmassan.se ==========================================================================Jorn to play South America in July 2011Jorn will play at the HSBC center in Sao Paulo, Brasil together with Mr Big on the 9th of July 2011. More South america dates to be announced in the live section. South American fans have experienced Jorn Lande live as frontman for Masterplan and recently on the world tour with Avantasia "The Flying Opera", but for the first time he will visit South America under the Jorn banner. Jorn says: There have been several tours in South America with Masterplan and Avantasia, and everytime I'm there people ask when I will come with the Jorn band.
Finally it will happen and we're all really excited about it. The warm enthusiasm and dedication I have experienced on my previous trips to Brasil, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica and Mexico is unique, and this time around we have also included Uruguay in the tour plan.The response from the people of South America is like medicine to the soul and if life is sometimes filled with doubt, going there puts things in perspective and makes you wanna continue full force.

JORN "Live In Black" to be released in August
A double cd of Jorns live performance at the Sweden Rock Festival last year will be released on the 27th of August.The concert was recorded live on the 10th of June 2010 in front of more than 25 000 people. The release will also include a bonus DVD.

The Heaven & Hell - Ronnie James Dio tribute concert, in Victoria Park London, was a sad experience as well as a great thing to do, and I will forever be honored and grateful for beeing a part of it.
I wish to thank Tony, Geezer, Vinny, Scott, Glenn and everyone involved for making me feel so welcome and included. I also wish to thank all the people that were there to see the show, who embraced it for what it was, a sole tribute to the man and legend Ronnie James Dio.
